Mike Crapo has represented Idaho in the U.S. Senate since 1999. He chairs the Senate Finance Committee, one of the most influential committees in Congress, which has jurisdiction over taxes, trade, Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. He is one of the Senate's most senior members and a consistent conservative voice on fiscal policy.
